"I hired Melissa to photograph my daughter's first birthday party and I'm so glad I did! From the very beginning, I could tell that she was not only an experienced photographer but also genuinely excited to attend the event and share the day with us. On our first phone call, I gave her specific instructions on the types of photos I wanted. I wanted candid photos too but mostly of my children because it's always so hard for me to capture them! Lastly, I wanted her to get shots of the decorations that we were working so hard to put up! On the day of the party, Melissa came ready to deliver! She arrived early and immediately started shooting. She stayed for the whole party and was running around the whole time. My friends and family were impressed at how hard she was working and mentioned that they enjoyed talking with her too. A few days later, she started sending me some of her favorite photos. The photos are absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. Melissa clearly spent a lot of time editing them and yet they look natural. I'm impressed that she followed my instructions to a tee and gave me the perfect mix of candid and posed photos, as well as great shots of the decorations and my kids. I;m also one off those annoying people who, after seeing a photo, notices tiny things that could/should be edited. I followed up with small editing requests and Melissa quickly made them without even the slightest complaint.
